Regent Street development

Through our £1 billion investment programme we have redeveloped almost the full length of Regent Street.

The Regent Street investment programme has regenerated and transformed the street into an international retail destination, a successful business address and a place for people. Over the past ten years the redevelopment programme has delivered world-class new buildings, wider pavements, new public realm, beautiful lighting, great restaurants and a fabulous mix of retail brands.

The scale and quality of our programme and our commitment to placemaking were recognised when we won ‘Developer of the Year’ at the Property Week Awards 2015. The judges remarked that The Crown Estate’s developments “exude quality” and then went on to say “what they’re doing in the West End is exceptional: the way they’ve transformed poor pieces of real estate and turned them into wonderful pieces of public realm is incredible.”

The quality of our 10 New Burlington Street development was also recognised in winning Best Mixed-Use Development award at the 2015 UK Property Awards. In addition, our commitment to sustainability across all of our developments was underlined in picking up the Sustainability Achievement award at the 2016 Property Week Awards.

The programme is well advanced, with further developments completing in 2015/16, including our scheme at One New Burlington Place, 21 Glasshouse Street and 7 Air Street, the latter two both major refurbishments within Quadrant 2.

Development continues at Quadrant 4, a residential scheme comprising 48 units. Also coming up in the pipeline is the redevelopment of the Quadrant Arcade.

As the development continues our Regent Street investment will continue to offer huge benefits not just to the local community and visitors as an award-winning destination, but also the country as a whole, as the street's value and rental returns increase for the benefit of the nation's finances.
