St James's retail

Our retail strategy for St James’s seeks to endorse its position as a world-class shopping and dining destination while maintaining its sense of heritage, tradition, elegance and luxury.

Our £500 million investment in St James's is helping to attract retailers that embody the St James's brand and values of 'personal, distinctive, stimulating and eclectic'.

Projects such as the St James's Market development reflect our commitment to maintaining architectural excellence, while significantly improving the public realm and pedestrian experience.

St James's Market has attracted a number of international retail and restaurant occupiers, including Smeg, ASSOS, Jigsaw, Salt Yard Group and Aquavit. Italian design and lifestyle brand Smeg and iconic Swiss cycling brand ASSOS were the first retail tenants to sign up to the development. The Smeg store will be a new retail concept and one of the brand’s major global flagship outlets, whilst the ASSOS unit will be the company’s first flagship store outside Switzerland.

Away from the landmark St James’s Market project, Aquascutum are to launch a new, expanded menswear flagship store on Jermyn Street, while outerwear brand Arc’teryx Equipment have taken the final two retail units at our Eagle Place development, already home to globally renowned brands such as Joseph Cheaney & Sons, La Martina's, Tiger of Sweden, Barbour International, Osprey, Sunspel, and royal warrant holder Grosvenor Shirts. Specialist high-end cycle and accessory retailer The Bike Rooms opened their first London flagship store in Regent Street St James’s.

Through regular street events and promotions we are also working closely with local businesses, customers and retail trade associations to promote St James's to consumers across the globe, cementing its position as London's finest retail and dining destination.
