Scotland at a glance in 2015/16

  • Gross revenue in Scotland was £14 million
  • Property value was £271.8 million
  • Gross investment in Scotland was £5.2 million
  • In 2015/16 revenue from Energy & infrastructure was £3.2 million
  • Revenue from Urban retail was £0.8 million
  • Revenue from Rural & Coastal was £10 million
  • In 2015/16 £0.8 million was invested in rural buildings and infrastructure
  • We had 700 rural tenancies, from residential to sporting and minerals
  • 140 new or varied agreements put in place in 2015/16
  • There were more than 2,380 agreements in place, covering ports, harbours, marinas
  • £100,000 was invested in coastal heritage research in 2015/16
  • £1.8 million was invested in the MeyGen tidal energy project
  • Aquaculture revenue was up by £100,000 to £3.5 million in 2015/16
  • The property value of our aquaculture holdings in 2015/16 was £19.5 million, up by £1.5 million

What we manage in Scotland

  • Leasing of the seabed out to the 12 nautical mile limit and the rights to renewable energy and CCS out to the 200 nautical mile limit
  • 37,000 hectares of rural land with agricultural tenancies, residential and commercial properties, and forestry
  • Approximately half the foreshore including 5,800 installed moorings, 750 aquaculture sites and salmon fishing rights
  • Retail and office units at 39-41 George Street in Edinburgh.
