My Wild Winter

Hundreds of families were attracted to a series of fun-filled Christmas events, held in partnership with the National Wildlife Trusts, across five Crown Estate regional retail and shopping parks.

The interactive events encouraged families to learn about caring for local wildlife in the winter months. Local branches of the Wildlife Trust were on hand at each park to give advice and guidance to shoppers on how to help animals like the otter, dormouse, hedgehog and red squirrel – the animals most in need of help in winter. Alongside this there were games, carol singing and live ice-sculpting, with the public deciding which animal would be sculpted on the day.

The events promoted the importance of biodiversity and enhancing the natural environment across retail destinations, while providing free Christmas entertainment to families in and around the local community.
