Peter Hofbauer has been appointed as a Board Counsellor of The Crown Estate
Peter Hofbauer has been appointed as a Board Counsellor of The Crown Estate with effect from 1 September 2024.
With an extensive track record in infrastructure investment and management, Peter is currently a member of the Infrastructure Investment Committee at Interfund Management SA. Previously, Peter was Head of Infrastructure for Hermes GPE LLP where he was responsible for building out a dedicated infrastructure platform to make direct infrastructure investments, primarily in the UK and Europe. Under his leadership, he built a team of investment professionals, the majority of which were female, delivering gender diversity along with above target investment returns.
Prior to that he served as Global Head of Infrastructure for Babcock and Brown (B&B), where he was responsible for building a global infrastructure business. Peter also supported the investment in a significant renewable energy development pipeline, where B&B was in the top five wind energy developers and operators, globally, as well as thermal generation and solar projects.
