The Crown Estate makes senior appointments to support UK’s nature recovery and transition to a net zero future

The Crown Estate has made two senior appointments as it accelerates delivery against its strategy to support the UK’s transition to a net zero, energy secure future, whilst also driving nature recovery and economic growth. 

Julia Rose joins The Crown Estate as Head of Offshore Wind from TotalEnergies, while Caroline Price has been confirmed as Head of Nature and Environment from her existing role at The Crown Estate having led the team on an interim basis since November.  

Julia will play a pivotal role in facilitating the sustainable expansion of The Crown Estate’s offshore wind portfolio in line with the UK’s goals of reaching Net Zero and increasing the country’s energy security. Julia brings a strong commercial background and in-depth understanding of the offshore wind developer landscape.   

Caroline will lead on The Crown Estate’s work to ensure that the marine ecosystem is enhanced and protected, aligned with the organisation’s purpose and strategy to deliver value for the nation and support nature.  

The appointments come at an important time as The Crown Estate moves forward with its vision to create the most sustainable and attractive marine economy and environment in the world. This includes its plans to co-develop a Marine Delivery Routemap to ensure that the seabed is managed in a holistic and sustainable way.
