Bidders Day

On 31st January 2024, The Crown Estate held a Bidders Day in Swansea, to provide prospective Bidders with the opportunity to find out more about the Round 5 tender process and ask questions of our team of experts.

Through the presentations delivered on the day, The Crown Estate confirmed that:

• The leasing process will begin formally with the publication of the contract notice via the Find a Tender service at the end of February. Bidders must respond to the contract notice and register on the portal if they wish to participate in the Round 5 tender process.

• The schedule for the leasing round has been revised, with the aim of ensuring companies bidding for the three separate Project Development Areas will know by March 2025 whether they have been successful.

• Work on a plan-level Habitats Regulations Assessment is nearing completion, with results expected to be published later this month (Feb 2024).

Potential Bidders who have not yet submitted an Expression of Interest are encouraged to do so here. The EOI is non-binding and will ensure you are notified when the contract notice is published.
